Entry
IMAGE 2-1:
District 2 Police Station is one of three new high-tech police stations located in Denver, Colorado. This project was built ground-up with All American Electric as the electrical contractor. Upon arival, you are greeted by the 37 foot entrance, covered entirely in steel. The indirect lighting and light capturing roof panel give the feeling of entering a modern office complex. Only the metal detectors and array of touch screen security panel reminds you that you have entered a police station. In addition to the electrical, All American Electric was responsible for the installation of the telecommunications, audiovisual, security, and fire alarm systems.

The large community room is controlled by a remote touch pad, with preselected lighting scenes. At the touch of a single button the lighting in the entire room can be altered, brightening the podium while dimming the seating area. Touching another button brings up the house lighting for exit.

Squad Rooms
IMAGE 2-3:
This state of the art police station utilizes an up to the minute light harvesting system. In the meeting and squad rooms light levels are controlled by computer. Inputs from occupancy sensors and ambient light sensors informs the system what level of outputs are need from the lights, and that is exactly what is put out. The system even automatically compensates for the passing of a cloud overhead. Truly amazing.
